According to MDeC chief executive officer Dato'Badlisham Ghazali, 20 MSC Malaysia status companies are to travel with delegates from MDeC, the driver of MSC Malaysia, to various international business and information and technology (ICT) events taking place around the world in the coming months.

Opportunities for in challenging times

Badlisham said that there are opportunities for the expansion of the local ICT industry to tap onto customers around the world who seek cost-effective solutions.

"The fiscal challenge faced around the world is in fact an opportunity for us to promote and have the international audience seriously consider Malaysia, as consumers and companies seek for cost-effective solutions with global appeal," he said. "It provides Malaysian companies with opportunities to meet new clients, partners and customers, as well as potential foreign direct investors with our value proposition and specific purposes."
