Ambrosia releases 15th anniversary game bundle

20.12.2008
Ambrosia Software has put together a collection of some of its most popular games, including a few that have been updated to run as Universal binaries on Intel-based Macs. The costs $19.

Games include Apeiron, an arcade-style action game that serves as an homage to the classic coin-op game Centipede. Bubble Trouble, another arcade action game, takes its inspiration from the arcade classic Pengo -- you must "squish the fish" using bubbles, which can also squish you.

Redline, a more recent release, is a 3D racing game in which you take to tracks and test your mettle in a variety of different car models, from mini cars to full-on muscle cars, exotics and everything in between. Darwinia, the Macintosh port of a strategy game that originated on the PC, takes you to a virtual world, where you have to save its denizens from a deadly computer virus. And SketchFighter is a game that makes you pilot a spaceship through mazes, but it has a twist -- the game looks like doodles in the back of a grade school notebook. Last but not least is Aki Mahjong Solitaire, a blend of the Chinese tile game of mahjong combined with a journey across Japan.

Ambrosia says the games purchased separately would cost $123. The bundle is available only for a limited time -- until midnight on December 24, 2008.
