Die Welt macht sich Sorgen um Steve Jobs. Jüngster Grund sind die vagen Anmerkungen zum Gesundheitszustand des Apple-Chefs, die CFO Peter Oppenheimer im gestrigen Conference Call von sich gab:

And then my last thing is just I would like to ask it as respectfully as possible; a New York newspaper today obviously called into question some issues around Steve and obviously his health, and we get a lot of questions about it and I’m really sorry to ask, because it’s a very private matter, but would you mind addressing the situation and just making it so we can have your official statement? And I apologize in advance for having to ask the question.

Ben, Steve loves Apple. He serves as the CEO at the pleasure of Apple’s board and has no plans to leave Apple. Steve’s health is a private matter.
Wir erinnern uns: Im August 2004 wurde Jobs ein Tumor der Bauchspeicheldrüse entfernt.
Und bei der Keynote zur WWDC 2008 hatte der Mann wirklich besorgniserregend dünn ausgesehen. Wir drücken auf jeden Fall feste beide Daumen, dass das einfach an seiner bekannt bewussten Ernährung liegt und er ansonsten kerngesund ist. Man muss ihn ja nicht unbedingt mögen, aber Steve Jobs IST einfach Apple. Und ihn zu ersetzen (wann auch immer) wird enorm schwierig werden.
Die “New York Times” weiß inzwischen mehr. Klingt ganz beruhigend.
