Yahoo's Mayer crowdsources suggestions for baby's name

02.10.2012
Yahoo's new CEO -- who also happens to be a new mom -- seems to be embracing the social aspect of her life, both professionally and personally. She's reportedly crowdsourcing the name of her newborn son.

Blogger Jeff Jarvis, who is also a professor at the City University of New York Graduate School of Journalism and founding editor of Entertainment Weekly, spilled the news via his account yesterday, telling the world that he had just received an email from Marissa Mayer asking the "large crowd" of email recipients for suggestions of names for the newest member of Mayer's family, who was born Sunday night.

Jarvis followed up the tweet almost immediately with another, saying "Just to be clear, @marissamayer says she'll take suggestions for a name. Nobody suggest Yahoo, now!"
