Xbox 360 getting exclusive Tomb Raider: Underworld stuff

06.10.2008
Eidos Interactive and Microsoft Monday announced plans to release two exclusive downloadable chapters of Lara Croft's latest adventure on Xbox 360.

The first of two downloads, entitled Beneath the Ashes, will arrive in "early 2009" on Xbox Live and "takes place after the Underworld story has finished and will feature a new environment to explore, additional secrets to unlock, and different enemies to fight."

A second chapter, dubbed Lara's Shadow, will introduce a new playable character and "create a unique Tomb Raider experience," according to Eidos. Combined, both chapters promise up to six hours of new gameplay.

The news marks the second time in as many years of an exclusive downloadable content announcement for Xbox 360. Last year, Rockstar and Microsoft announced an exclusive expansion pack for Grand Theft Auto IV, which is expected sometime next year.

Tomb Raider: Underworld will release on Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, PS2, Nintendo DS, and Games for Windows on November 18. A playable demo will be available on Xbox Live in October.
