Vivitek launches new lineup of portable projectors

Vivitek has launched a new series of projectors in India in addition to its existing range. The new line-up has been branded as the D8 Series and includes the D825MS and D825MX projectors. According to a press release, the projectors weigh 2.6 kgs, and are incorporated with DLP technology from Texas Instruments that displays better images, and also features BrilliantColor for better brightness of vibrant colors.

The release further states that the brightness of these projectors is upwards of 2,500 ANSI Lumens and supports SVGA and XGA resolutions. The projection screen size of the D825MS is 24.6 inches- 246 inches while the projection size of the D825MX is 23 inches -255 inches. The D series projectors also come with 800 x 600 native resolution along with 4:3 native aspect ratio and 2000:1 contrast ratio.

The projectors are priced at Rs. 33,750 (US$680) for the D825MS and Rs. 45,000 for the D825MX and come with 2 years warranty.
