Microsoft Corp. Tuesday will announce a framework and a tool for building customized "visual designers" that can be used to develop applications tailored for vertical industries. The framework and tool are based on the modeling technology in Microsoft"s upcoming Visual Studio 2005 release and are extensions to the Team System edition of Visual Studio. Microsoft plans to release a Community Technical Preview of the technology this week.
