US tracking company sees expansion in Macau hotel industry

A US company specialising in inventory and tracking solutions will find its latest technology solutions in thousands of uniforms of hotel workers in Asia's casino capital, Macau.

California's InvoTech Systems, which provides inventory control systems for hotels, casinos, resorts, theme parks and sports arenas, said it is making headway in the Chinese market with the installation of its GIMS Uniform System with RFID technology in four hotel brands in Macau.

The company said its GIMS Uniform System will be installed in Sheraton, Shangri-La, St. Regis and Traders hotels in Macau.

The installation is made possible after InvoTech translated its GIMS system to Chinese Mandarin specifically to address the Chinese markets. With this, InvoTech's GIMS inventory control system with RFID (radio frequency identification) will automatically track 125,000 uniforms for 10,500 employees across the four hotel brands.

The new hotels will add to the already existing installations of GIMS Uniform System in Macau, which InvoTech considers "the fastest growing hospitality market in the world".
