Implement IT recently announced the launch of its management consulting arm. This comes after the merger with ProfWeb, a professional services company.

ProfWeb specializes in providing management consulting skills within various disciplines, aiming to assist clients to ease information flow within their business. According to Perry Velalis, MD of Implement IT, ProfWeb began operating under Implement IT from September 1.

Velalis says: ?Implement IT had a pillar of excellence missing, and we believe we have found it in ProfWeb. The expertise we have incorporated into Implement IT will now not only extend specific technical consulting expertise around front office applications, and in particular CRM applications, but will provide our customers with true business process mapping throughout the technology and business cycle as well.?

Now that ProfWeb is a part of Implement IT, skills added to the business, according to Velalis, include: organizational change management, business analytics, program and project management, as well as business process identification and mapping, which subsequently hooks onto the goal of technology meeting the needs of both people and process into Implement IT.

Some of the areas on which ProfWeb, under Implement IT, will be focusing are enterprise architecture, business software selection, technical consulting, IT organizational planning, business software application planning, CRM specialization, CRM process and integration, IT strategy, application needs and designs, program and project management.

Additional services will cover the broader human capital arena, while others will focus on business processes, including areas such as problem-solving, process and continuous improvement interventions, productivity and change management, business process re-engineering (BPR), process mapping and process analysis.

ProfWeb MD, Angelo Kehayas, says: ?This is a very exciting time for our company, as it opens a vast number of doors for us, as well as providing us with a good platform for growth. The culture of Implement IT also matches the culture that we have at ProfWeb.?

Kehayas adds that clients will not only benefit from certified and professional resources in sub-Saharan Africa, but also from personalized and focused consulting, research and training services. ?We also offer a new-age electronic marketplace, which facilitates efficient collaboration between clients and professionals,? he says.

Velalis adds that clients will now be able to benefit from the totality of the merger. Velalis states that the long term goal and objective of the merger is to ?accelerate the establishment of a sustainable business that is well equipped to deliver the necessary dimensions of the ?project life cycle?, namely people, process and technology.?

?The two organizations have both established their credibility in their respective sectors of the market, and are, therefore, well positioned to complement one another.?

When asked about the costs involved in this merger, Velalis concludes by saying: ?Yes, there are costs involved, however at this time we would prefer to leave the figures undisclosed.?
