Apple's in search of a fresh face to join its executive team, and it could come from anywhere in the world--but it probably won't be Ukraine's defense secretary. Plus, Apple finds itself in some lukewarm water for allegations that it used a copyright photo in a commercial. The remainders for Wednesday, August 3, 2011 are innocent of all charges.

According to an article in the (account required), Apple has retained global recruiting firm Egon Zehnder International to find a replacement for . Involving an outside partner is unusual for Apple; rumors suggest that the firm may have been picked to help broaden the search to candidates outside the U.S. I'm not sure why it thought that hiring the guy from would help, but okay.

If you think those are clouds on the horizon, you may be right. AppAdvice says it's confirmed that Apple is launching a re-downloading and "possibly streaming service" dubbed iTunes Replay. The service would reportedly extend what Apple has already done with and to movies. Personally, I'd pay good money to have the ability to not only download some movies I've already watched, but also to erase them entirely from my memory.
