Many reputable news sites, including and , are reporting that Nintendo has announced the release dates for most of their biggest currently known projects, most of which should be landing on US shores within the first half of the year. In particular, and should be available before mid-year, if the reports are correct.

Other major US releases include the March debut of the GameCube-turned-Wii "New Play Control" series. Both and will be revamped with Wii control schemes and should be re-released in a matter of weeks and we've heard there will be a svelte US$30 price tag for each.

On the DS side, the long-awaited US release for the Nintendo DSi will be during the nebulous Spring-Summer time period. Before then, thankfully, we will have new Pokemon and Fire Emblem games for the best-selling portable.
