The Commission on ICT has outlined the draft of a Philippine ICT road map which shall serve as the country's blueprint for ICT development. And education is being given top priority among all the programs outlined in the road map.

The road map covers various priority areas and strategic programs for ICT, based on CICT's vision of a sustainable economic development and a society where citizens have access to ICT, quality education, efficient government service, and a better way of life.

'The road map's main goal is to primarily put together all various policies, programs, and projects that CICT is doing right now,' said Ramon Sales, chairman of the CICT, in an interview with Computerworld Philippines. Sales presented the draft of the road map during the National ICT Summit held early this month.
