New Microsoft mouse now available in India

Microsoft has launched the Explorer Mini Mouse that uses Microsoft's BlueTrack technology. According to a press release, the mouse works on more surfaces than both optical and laser mice including granite countertops, airport carpets, wooden tables or other rough surfaces. The mouse can be controlled from a distance of up to 30 ft. The release adds that the Mini Mouse is ergonomically designed and features glowing blue light effects when it is operational.

The mouse features a 4-way scrolling with Tilt Wheel Technology and customizable buttons that give access to media, programs, and files that are used often. The Mini Mouse has a battery life that is supposed to last for over four months.

In the press release Microsoft states that, "This new technology will redefine mobile computing by allowing users to use their computers just about anywhere. Microsoft Hardware has ensured that we have always stayed ahead of the curve and have introduced game changing technologies regularly."

The Microsoft Explorer Mini Mouse is available for an estimated retail price of Rs. 3,110 (US$63). The Mini Mouse has a worldwide three-year limited hardware warranty from Microsoft.
