New Jak & Daxter game coming to PSP & PS2

It's been almost five years since we've seen the last "true" Jak and Daxter game with , but the PlayStation 2's dearest platforming duo will finally return later this year with the PS2-PSP bound sequel, Jak and Daxter: The Lost Frontier. Sony revealed the game on their earlier Wednesday, strongly emphasizing that this is not an April Fools joke. The information about the game itself thus far comes from the brief PlayStation Blog entry, stating "The Lost Frontier takes the intrepid pair all the way to the edge of the world. There they must battle their way past air pirates and sinister creatures in their quest to find a cure for the world?s eco shortage."

Jak and Daxter: The Lost Frontier is being developed by High Impact Games, the team that developed the last two portable Ratchet and Clank games, , and . The original developers of all of the previous Jak and Daxter console titles, Naughty Dog, will be taking less of a role in the upcoming game with their development plate full of at the moment.
