New Digital Tablet Launched by Genius

Genius Tuesday announced a new addition to the company's line up of digital tablets, the G-Pen M712, for graphic designers and artists. According to a press release, this is a dual-mode tablet that is plug and play ready, supports resolutions of up to 4,000 LPI and works under both Window's Vista and Mac operating systems. The dual-mode feature means that users can switch the screen from wide to standard and back again.

The G-Pen M712 tablet offers a 12-inch by 7.25-inch (30.5 x 18.4cm) widescreen drawing area, a two-button pen, dual scroll wheels and 34 user-programmable buttons. The G-Pen M712 also comes with fast shortcut keys, which can be used to access Office, the Internet and Vista or Mac functions. It also comes with rolling pads at the top of the tablet (scroll, zoom, volume) and hot keys that can be used when writing and drawing, sketching and signing emails, and a digital, cordless pen.

The Genius G-Pen M712 is in India for Rs. 8,499 (US$164) and comes with a one year warranty.
