New Art Style on DSi & WiiWare demos debut today

16.11.2009
Last week that Nintendo was considering adding Wii demos to the Wii Shop Channel, almost three years after the system and the store launched. While it may have taken some time for Nintendo to address the problem, at least they acted quickly once they acknowledged it--the company's Wii and DSi Monday update includes five WiiWare demos, including some of the service's most enjoyable games, some of which have been overlooked. The five games are Bit.Trip Beat, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life as a Darklord, NyxQuest: Kindred Spirits, World of Goo, and the newly-released Pokemon Rumble, which sells for $15, making it definite demo material.

The non-demo games coming to Nintendo's console marketplaces ain't too shabby either. The DSi is receiving a new game in the always-solid, sometimes-stellar Art Style series, alongside two $2 titles. The Virtual Console has some intriguing titles this week, too. There's Indiana Jones' Greatest Hits, which is a Indy game that plays like the Super Star Wars Trilogy, as well as the Turbografx-16 port of Street Fighter II: Championship Edition. It's the fifth version of Street Fighter II, and the second version of Street Fighter II: Championship Edition. If this is any indication, the only differences are that the music is a little more tinny, and there's no ladies in the background of Guile's stage. However, it is a buck less than every other version if you're that frugal.

There's never been a better time to check out the extraordinary lineup of downloadable games from Nintendo. This week, Wii(tm) owners who connect their Wii consoles to the Internet can enjoy demos of five exceptional games for the WiiWare(tm) downloadable game service for zero Wii Points(tm): BIT.TRIP BEAT, FINAL FANTASY(r) CRYSTAL CHRONICLES(r): My Life as a Darklord(tm), NyxQuest: Kindred Spirits, World of Goo(tm) and a brand new entry in the Pokemon(tm) game series, Pokemon(tm) Rumble.
