New 12-inch Netbook By Dell

Dell Friday introduced the Inspiron Mini 12 in India, a netbook with a starting weight of 1.24kg and thickness of 0.92 inch. According to a press release, the laptop also features Windows XP Home, a built-in webcam, 1GB of RAM and an 80 GB hard drive. The Mini 12 has a 12.1 inch WXGA display and connectivity options include built-in Bluetooth and 802.11b/g wireless. It is expected to be priced around Rs. 31,000 (US$627).

The Dell Inspiron Mini 12 will be available through select Croma Stores in India this month.

The press release also quotes Girish Mehta, Director of Consumer Marketing, Dell India, "The Mini 12 is designed specifically for mobile, hi-def lifestyles. With its slim lightweight design and 12" widescreen display, the Mini 12 is the ideal on-the-go Internet companion for today's mobile generation."
