Mac News Briefs: Berbie Software releases Trail Runner 2.0

On Tuesday, Berbie Software released , an update to its route-planning and journaling software designed to work with Garmin GPS or Nike+ devices.

The new version incorporates a number of additions, including a new routing service based on the openStreetMap trail network, automatic loading of elevation data from over the Net, a rewritten route editor for routes based on the personal track network, and improved route exchange with running portal GPSies.com, including hiking, running, and biking filters. There's also a new route management tool.

TrailRunner 2.0 is free to download, but a €25 (US$35) payment is requested. The software requires Mac OS X 10.5.--

Agile Web Solutions released on Friday, bringing a redesigned Wi-Fi syncing feature to the popular password storage utility.

Syncing between the desktop and iPhone/iPod touch version of 1Password is now faster and more reliable, adding custom preferences and tools for dealing with potential data conflicts. Use of these features will require the forthcoming 1Password touch 2.0, soon to come to the App Store.
