The LaCie Core4 includes four USB ports, three external USB and a built-in mini-USB cable and is about the size of a small matchbox.

The LaCie Core7 offers six USB ports, as well as a built-in extractible mini-USB cable for mobile device connectivity and charging. The LaCie Core7 also includes a power supply.

The work of , an award winning UK-based industrial designer and Royal College of Art industrial design graduate, the LaCie Core4 comes in Warm Gray, Blue and Orange, while the LaCie Core7 is available in Warm Gray. Both designs are modeled after Hecht's award-winning LaCie Little Disk.
