Konami announces Castlevania: Lords of Shadow

Though Hideo Kojima has been busy all week, bouncing from press conference to press conference and announcing all new Metal Gear Solid games, he saved several of those announcements for his company's own briefing this afternoon. We'd heard about and ; what else did he have in store?

The answer is Castlevania: Lords of Shadow. In a mask-filled trailer narrated by Patrick Stuart, Konami revealed the long-awaited revitalization of the series, due out on both Xbox 360 and PS3 in 2010. Developed by MercurySteam and spearheaded by Hideo Kojima himself, Konami is hoping that the open-world Lords of Shadow will give gamers a fresh look at a classic franchise. We hope so too, Hideo!
