Walmart also says customers will be able to pre-order the iPhone 5 at its stores at 8 a.m. local time on Friday, Sept. 14. General sales begin at 8 a.m. local time on Friday, Sept. 21. Walmart pricing is for phones with two-year carrier contracts, and carriers will vary by store.

Pre-orders from Walmart will entail a $25 deposit toward the purchase, and customers will also receive a $4.99 VUDU movie credit.

Walmart also sells iPhone 4, 8GB, for 97 cents and the 16GB iPhone 4S for $89.97, again $9.03 less than the standard price Apple announced yesterday.
