Intex Revives its Home UPS Series

12.06.2009
Intex announced it is reviving its Home UPS business with the introduction of two models, the INTEX Savio in 600 VA and 1400 VA configurations. Aiming to cut ice with the consumers is the 'no load shut down' feature. This enables the Home UPS to automatically shut down, when not in use for 10 hrs of power cut, typically in a situation where the users are out of town, thus saving the battery discharge which does occur very slowly even when the unit is not in use. The built-in power saver helps in reducing electricity consumption. The ultra fast transfer time for computer load delivers a hassle free uninterrupted computing experience.

Other features include MOSFET micro controller based design; 'Fuzzy Logic' for an advanced battery management system and LONL (Low Output No Load) mode to enhance efficiency (present only in INTEX SAVIO 1400 VA).

Not compromising on safety from power fluctuations, the models have multi stage control protection, SCR Short Circuit protection and battery overcharge/deep discharge/reverse protection. Targeted at homes and SOHO segment, they could be used for all kinds of electrical equipment and PCs.

Available at a warranty of 24 months, INTEX Savior 600 VA & 1400 VA retail at Rs. 4100 (US$86) and Rs. 6500 respectively.
