Google rollt Fix für Android-Schwachstelle aus

Google hat einen Patch für die von Ulmer Wissenschaftlern entdeckte Sicherheitslücke im mobilen Betriebssystem Android entwickelt.

"We're starting to roll out a fix which addresses a potential security flaw that could, under certain circumstances, allow a third party access to data available in calendar and contacts", heißt es in einer Stellungnahme des Konzerns. "This fix requires no action from users and will roll out globally over the next few days."

Allerdings bleibt die Schwachstelle für den Zugriff auf Googles Bilderdienst Picasa dabei noch bestehen; hier ist allerdings die Wahrscheinlichkeit eines unbefugten Zugriffs auf sensible Daten erheblich geringer.
