22.12.2008
BeLight Software has announced the release of version 2, an update to their backup and archival software for Mac OS X. A free update for registered users, Get Backup costs $39.95.

Get Backup helps you create personal backups from your hard drive. It lets you schedule automatic backups according to a schedule, helps reduce the size of the backup using compression tools, and lets you restore backed up files to any other computer.

The new 2.0 version now sports synchronization tools. Yu can use Get Backup to keep files and folders in sync and up to date between desktop and laptop Macs. Integration has been added with iPhone, Mail, iTunes and Address book. One-way and bidirectional synchronization is supported, and you can exclude particular files from being synced if you want.

A demo version is available. System requirements call for Mac OS X 10.4 or later and 7MB of free disk space.
