Get 5GB of Free Cloud-Sync Storage from SugarSync

Wouldn't it be cool if you had a "magic" folder on your PC, one that automatically synced its contents with the Web, your other PCs, your cell phone, and other devices?

You may think I'm referring to Dropbox, a service that offers exactly those capabilities. It's one of my favorites, its freebie accounts are limited to 2GB of online storage.

SugarSync will see that 2GB and raise it 3GB (for a total of...wait, I'm not good at math...okay, got it...5GB). That's right: anyone can sign up for and get 5GB of cloud-storage goodness.

After getting started, just choose the folders you want to sync. Everything gets copied to your secure account, which you can access from just about any Web browser (and from apps for Android, BlackBerry, iPhone, and pretty much every other mobile platform).

In other words, everything you choose to sync becomes accessible from just about everywhere. What's more, SugarSync recently introduced a that's sure to appeal to the business crowd.

I recommend using SugarSync as a kind of instantaneous, set-it-and-forget-it backup system: just save mission-critical documents to one of your "magic" folders and presto, they're archived to the cloud. But that's just one of many applications.
