FontAgent Pro adds font auto-activation for CS5 apps

Now that Adobe has released the new version of its Creative Suite, software programs that work with it are also being upgraded to ensure compatibility. One of the first out the gate is FontAgent Pro.

has announced the immediate availability of FontAgent Pro auto-activation plug-ins for Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop CS5.

FontAgent Pro is a font management application that integrates diagnostics, repair, font selection, font book creation, and design tools.

The latest plug-ins provide accurate auto-activation for Adobe Creative Suite 5 using the company's FontSavant technology. This ensures that users auto-activate the right fonts in their documents--not just a close match or a font that has the same name, the company says.

The new plug-ins are compatible with Mac OS X 10.3.9 and higher. FontAgent Pro Server 4.0 requires Mac OS X 10.4.9 or higher. Users need version 4 of FontAgent Pro to use the new CS5 plug-ins. Current licensed users running FontAgent Pro 4 or later can download the latest auto-activation plug-ins at no charge from the Website.

All FontAgent Pro auto-activation plug-ins are universal for use on both Intel and PowerPC Macs.
