Ericsson acquires Australia's Tusc

Ericsson Australia has announced the acquisition of Tusc for A$9.5 million (US$7 million).

Established more than 20 years ago, Tusc is an enterprise systems integrator, and subsidiary of Allied Technologies Group, with around 80 employees.

Ericsson said its goal is to strengthen its position in the local telecommunications services market and allows the company to acquire new customers in the utilities market.

Hans Vestberg, Ericsson's executive vice president of business unit global services, said the company is keen to enter into network management solutions for utilities infrastructure.

It has systems integration experience for more than 500 network management solutions, some 100 charging solutions as well as about 450 billing, mediation, activation and settlements solutions.
