Energy management key to solving climate dilemma

Efficient management of energy can solve what is called as the "energy dilemma," a two-poled issue stemming from forecasted doubling of energy demand in the next several years, as against the need to cut carbon emissions by half to sustain the climate, a Schneider Electric executive remarked recently.

According to Philippe Reveilhac, newly appointed country president of Schneider Electric (SE) Philippines, trends such as connectivity, globalization, and security are putting increased demand to meet energy requirements.

Making the most of the energy, therefore, is the key to breaking the energy dilemma, and enables companies to achieve more while using less, the executive--who is also at the helm of APC by Schneider Electric--added.

Reveilhac, by assuming his position as the new top gun of SE Philippines, hopes to grow the local business, which offers power & control, critical power and cooling, energy monitoring and control, automation and security solutions to various industries in the country.

"I look forward to the opportunity to further grow the Schneider Electric business here in the Philippines as well as working closely with my local team to cultivate long-term and trusted relationships. Schneider Electric is in a strong position to deliver innovative solutions that will not only help these businesses make the most of their energy but also the ability to utilize environment-friendly technologies while saving on operating costs as well," said Reveilhac.

Reveilhac added that SE Philippines is hoping to take a stable hold of a new market, which seamlessly merges capabilities from the Information Technology and Energy & Automation spaces to create Intelligent Energy.
