EMC CEO postpones trip to Australia

06.02.2007
EMC CEO Joe Tucci has postponed his inaugural visit to Australia for six weeks.

Tucci was expected to kick off his visit tomorrow but has cancelled the trip due to "unforeseen circumstances."

As a result, Tucci will arrive in Australia on March 22, 2007, to meet customers, channel partners and staff.

The visit is aimed at promoting EMC as a leader in the information management market and to meet a host of new customers as a result of the company's US$2.1 billion acquisition of RSA Security last year.

Tucci will also meet with customers of EMC subsidiary VMWare which increased revenues by 101 percent to $232 million in the last quarter.
