EA's Summer Sale

EA has announced that starting from July 4, the company will be holding the "biggest EA sale ever" in celebration of America's birthday. The sale will cover not only PC titles sold via Origin, but also iPhone, iPad, Xbox Live Marketplace, Kindle, Pogo.com and Playfish titles.

Most iOS title from the company are reduced to $0.99, whether they're iPhone/iPod or iPad games. A full list can be found , and the offer includes the excellent iPad versions of Dead Space and Mirror's Edge.

On Origin, which EA still seems to believe is a platform that isn't a PC, you can get 40% off Battlefield: Bad Company 2 and its various addons; Battlefield 2142; Need for Speed Shift 2, Hot Pursuit, Pro Street and Undercover; The Sims Medieval; The Sims 3; Mass Effect 2; Dead Space 2; and/or FIFA Soccer 11.

On Xbox Live, all Hasbro Family Game Night titles are 50% off, down to 400 points. These include Connect 4x4, Jenga, Pictureka, Boggle, Battleship, Connect 4and Yahtzee.

On the Kindle, if you ever play games on that, you can get Yahtzee, Scrabble, Monopoly, Sudoku, Texas Hold Em and Solitaire for $0.99 each.

Pogo.com offers 50% off downloadable games during the sale period, and EA's social games arm Playfish is giving away free virtual currency in Madden Superstars, FIFA Superstars and World Series Superstars as well as a free pack of blue property cards in Monopoly Millionaires.
