E for All opens in Los Angeles

Although several key publishers , the budding consumer video game conference does have a few unreleased games on tap, namely Guitar Hero World Tour, End War, Far Cry 2, and Shaun White Snowboarding, all of which are playable. Microsoft, Electronic Arts, and Ubisoft are headlining the event.

In only its second year, E for All has been criticized for not being a press-focused event like E3 and/or for hosting fewer attendees than the Penny Arcade Expo, a gamer festival first launched in 2004 and taking place in Seattle.

"If you're a gamer, and live in the Los Angeles area, this isn't a bad place to come play games this weekend," said GamePro senior editor Sid Shuman. Stay tuned for his impressions of the above mentioned games in the coming days.

The convention, open to the public, runs from October 3-5 and costs US$35 for a single day pass, $60 for two day admittance, and $75 for a three day extravaganza. A full list of exhibitors and registration info can be found .
