Dragon Age Legends Gets Remixed

18.05.2011
The developers of popular Facebook Dragon Age spinoff Dragon Age Legends challenged developer Evan "Pixelante" Miller to create a "remix" of their game.

Dragon Age Legends is an interesting Facebook game that goes a little beyond the usual click-click-click mechanic so inexplicably popular with the masses. We interviewed developer EA2D's producer and game designer Ethan Levy and Soren Johnson on the subject of the game last month, and it was clear the pair were keen to make the game as good an experience for casual gamers and Dragon Age fans alike.

Now, the team has undertaken an interesting project: what is apparently the first ever remix of a video game. is the brainchild of , Flash game developer extraordinaire. It tells the story of Viscount Ravi, an important NPC in Dragon Age Legends, and makes new use of the assets from Legends to produce a completely different kind of game. Rather than the turn-based party combat of Legends, Dragon Age Legends Remix 01 is an action game featuring gesture-based mouse controls. It's rather good fun, too, and allows you to unlock items in the Facebook game, which in turn allows you to unlock items in Dragon Age II. Check it out .
