DOJ puts conditions on Google's ITA acquisition

08.04.2011
Due to incorrect information provided by the DOJ, the story "DOJ puts conditions on Google's ITA acquisition," and the update to that story, which both ran on the wire Friday, contain incorrect information about arbitration measures required in a proposed settlement.

The second paragraph of the story and update has been corrected on the wire and now reads:

The DOJ's proposed deal with Google, announced Friday, also would require the company to provide arbitration for complaints about fees from online travel sites, and it would require Google to fund research and development of ITA's travel software at the current rates, the DOJ said.
