Disruptive technologies and BYO devices are top customer worries: Juniper

Disruptive technologies and the rise of bring your own (BYO) devices are two of the biggest challenges facing IT managers, Juniper has claimed.

Speaking to , Juniper's global enterprise CTO, Glenn Dasmalchi, said customers are increasingly concerned with the security issues associated with disruptive technologies.

"Based on customer use cases, we've come up with some very disruptive technologies that make us rethink how we put technologies together," he said.

"Our top priorities are the same as the major trends that I'm hearing about from our enterprise customers...the BYO device trend [has] almost every customer mention that they're having to embrace it."

Having to embrace BYOT has made IT managers realise a desire for a flexible IT environment thanks to changed employee expectations, Dasmalchi said.

"The idea of mobility in general [is prominent], as is the fact that customers are wherever they have to be and they still need to get back to corporate resources that are connected through the network," he said.
