Now that The Witcher 2 is finished, patches and DLC notwithstanding, CD Projekt Red is free to turn its attention to other things, such as its next project. The company hasn't yet announced what this is, but there have been indications of the possibility of a . We'll find out for sure what the team is working on when it makes a "big announcement" during its CDP Summer Days event in LA on June 2, shortly before E3 starts.

During the event, the company is also planning on discussing the successes of the recent launch of The Witcher 2, and will explain its continuing support for the game with free DLC for registered players and premium expansions.

CD Projekt Red offshoot Good Old Games will also be making an announcement at the event -- an agreement with one of the five remaining big publishers not yet signed up with the digital distribution site. It will be one of Microsoft, LucasArts, EA, Square Enix or Take 2. As part of the event, GOG will announce not only the company but also the first games out of the batch of over 25 titles that it will release over the course of the summer.
