Blizzard Debuts New World Of Warcraft Cinematic At Gamescom

16.08.2012
The release of the new World of Warcraft expansion Mists of Pandaria is fast approaching, and this week Blizzard displayed the opening cinematic to the game at the Gamescom conference in Cologne, Germany. As always, Blizzards cinematic team has some cutting-edge CGI to show off and we thought it was worth your time to take a look at.

This time around the cinematic centers on two members of the games Alliance and Horde factions who crash on a mysterious island and discover&well , let's just say it's something you probably aren't expecting to see. But why ruin it, when you can just watch the video yourself?

The company also released several smaller trailers this week in the lead up to the cinematics big reveal promoting everything from the new dungeons and raids in Mists of Pandaria to the new scenario system, and even some of the abilities of the monk class. Unlike the cinematic intro these trailers use in-game footage so it should give you a slightly better idea of the kind of sights, sounds and gameplay youll be experiencing while playing the new expansion.

If all those previews have whetted your appetite for all things Pandaria you can take a look at our previews of some of the games big features including a new player and a Pokemon-like . Or you can head on over to Blizzards to snag the game on pre-sale before its September 25th release.
