Bioshock 2 releasing Nov 3 in the US, earlier in Europe

27.05.2009
The sequel to 2K Boston's 2007 smash hit has received an official release date of November 3, 2009 for North America. Yet, in a surprising twist on the usual way games from the U.S. are released, it looks like Europeans will be getting the game earlier than North Americans will for once. Europe will be able to get their hands on some plasmids this October 30, 2009.

Thus far, the game is expected to ship on PC, Playstation 3, and Xbox 360 simultaneously at launch. However, Take-Two has yet to officially announce what platforms the game will be coming to, as their press release for the second quarter earnings still lists the games platforms as "TBA." This has led some to believe that there might be a timed exclusive release for the first-person shooter.

In a recent interview, Take-Two CFO Lanie Goldstein said,"In terms of BioShock, we're still working out what the right SKUs [versions] are and the right timing." Company chairman Strauss Zelnick quickly added: "No you shouldn't read anything into that."

Whether on one platform, or all three at once, you can expect to hit our shores November 3rd, 2009.
