Avaya predicts APAC growth in communications, collaboration

09.12.2010
Next year holds great potential for the enterprise communications and collaboration industry across the Asia Pacific, according to the results of a survey conducted among delegates attending the annual Avaya Connect Asia Pacific Partner Conference in Macau.

Seventy-eight per cent of those surveyed believe the general business environment is either more or much more positive than a year ago.

Avaya, a global provider of enterprise communications systems, software and services, asked delegates prior to their arrival at the event to comment on the general business environment and trends they see across the Asia Pacific region for the communications and collaboration industry.

An overwhelming majority (97 per cent) of the survey respondents expect business growth for themselves in 2011. Also, 64 per cent expect their business to grow in the high single or even double digits in the coming year.

Francois Lancon, president, Asia Pacific, Avaya, noted that survey findings indicate the return of business confidence in the Asia Pacific. Avaya experienced significant growth in the region in 2010, and expects it to continue in 2011, as it pursues the target of doubling its business here in three years.
