IT systems and services firm Charles River Development Inc. has quadrupled support staff numbers in its relocation and expansion of its Melbourne headquarters.

The Melbourne office, which has served as headquarters for the Asia Pacific since its construction in June 2004, is part of a chain which includes sites in Boston, London, Melbourne, Paris, and Singapore.

Charles River Development Asia Pacific Managing Director Cameron Field said it has quadrupled employee levels to more than 40 support and sales staff and has tripled its local client service staff numbers.

"When we started in Australia about three years ago, we had two employees. Now, mainly due to the expansion of our client base over the last 12 months, we have quadrupled staff levels and have some client support based in Singapore," Field said.

The new center has relocated within the Melbourne Central Business District.

Field said it features on-site training facilities and a support team for its Financial Information Exchange.
