AusAID is seeking tenders from organizations to provide a "commercial-off-the-shelf, out-of-the-box" in order to assist AusAID to "improve evidentiary and records compliance of AusAID's e-mail, electronic and hardcopy documents".

The agency is seeking a single record keeping system that enables management of e-mail, electronic documents contained in personal and shared network drives, and locations of registered hardcopy and physical records.

The system must be compliant with federal government records keeping standards.

As a result of deploying a new EDRMS, AusAID anticipates it will improve search and retrieval electronic information, and the control, and integrity of Commonwealth records.

With operations in some 30 countries the agency is also looking to enhance information sharing within and across domestic, overseas and external AusAID workgroups, including staff posted to disparate international locations.
