Apple wins points for quickly squashing location tracking “bugs” with iOS 4.3.3

Apple's quick response to – in the form of iOS 4.3.3 released Wednesday – is earning the company praise from mobile industry watchers.

Apple has really been cranking out iOS updates of late, with released in mid-April to address FaceTime video chat and 3G wireless connectivity issues. 

As , iOS 4.3.3 cuts the size of the "iOS crowd-sourced location database cache" stashed on your device, no longer backs up the cache to iTunes and nixes the whole shebang when you turn off  Location Services.  Another update called 4.2.8 provides similar patching for the Verizon iPhone 4.
