Apple releases minor updates for iDVD, iWeb

iDVD and iWeb may not be as well-loved by Apple as the company's other iLife components, but they haven't been totally abandoned yet: On the heels of Monday's updates to , Apple also released patches for both iDVD and iWeb.

Both updates, which run 36 and 179MB in size respectively, claim to provide stability improvements and fixes for minor issues. provides no further explanation, only that the patch is "recommended" for all iWeb 3 users.

, on the other hand, highlights several of the fixes made to the program. Once updated, users can expect to see improved reliability when importing iPhoto '11 slideshows; a fix for an issue that prevented files from re-linking; and an adjustment for a problem that caused iDVD to tie up all available CPU power when searching for missing files.

You can download either update by going to Apple's website or by launching Software Update on your Mac. For the iDVD patch, you'll need a Mac running OS X 10.6.8; for iWeb, OS X 10.6.4 or later.
